New Year, First Finish

Posted on: January 5, 2017

Happy New Year! I have been so slack in my blogging because I have been very slack in my quilting.

Our niece had a little boy in September. I finally finished her quilt this week. I’m pleased with the way it turned out.

My quilt holder was at work when I took the photos, so I apologize for the first one. I stretched as far as I could to try to get the entire quilt in frame. The scheme for the baby’s room is navy, teal, and coral…southwestern. The big “G” in the upper left hand corner is my first time with trapunto. I should have maybe quilted a little more on the inside of the “G”, but it is what it is, now. It wings its way across the country  tomorrow.

I hope to have a lot more finishes this year. I have 2 or 3 finished tops that I could quilt…and, of course, the UFO pile is big.

May you have a prosperous, healthy, happy 2017!
