Archive for January 2010
January is just chugging along, isn’t it? And, it’s been a while since I last posted, so I’m a little bit behind. Between Christmas and New Year’s I went to see ICE! at the Gaylord Texan with some of my friends. It was cold…but they gave us some very stylish coats to wear!
I got up close and personal with the Grinch.
Back in the 1st part of 2009, I signed up to do the Spring Blooms quilt swap at Quilting Gallery. This was the quilt I sent my partner back then:
There were a few people, though, who didn’t get their quilts…maybe because their partner wasn’t able to finish it for a good reason – or because their partner just flaked out. Anyway, I had offered to make another quilt for one of those people. When I offered, though, there were already enough “swap angels” to fill the need. Then, in November, I got an e-mail from Michelle asking if I could make another quilt. Of course, I said “yes”…it just took me a while to get done. So tomorrow I’m sending this little wall hanging out into the world. Okay – really, just across Texas. It is a pattern from Brenda Henning’s book The New Classics. I love the way it turned out.
And, just because she’s so cute, here’s a picture of Felicity.
Now, I’m off to read. Grateful that tomorrow’s Friday.
Thanks for stopping by!
